The first ever Finnish Jolla phones were sold in Helsinki, Finland. The event took place at a specially built stage and tent close to the railway station and was hosted by DNA, a Finnish challenger carrier, in partnership with Jolla. The event was dubbed “The world’s funniest queue”.
At the event 450 Jolla phones were sold. A fantastic kick off to sales. The first ever Jolla phone was bought by 18-year-old Henri Huttunen, who had arrived for queuing already at one o’clock in the afternoon, four hours before the doors opened and six hours before the sales started.
“I have waited for my Jolla phone for one and a half years, since the product was published. Finally my dream came through. The waiting in the queue during the final hours was just nice, it was interesting to talk to complete strangers, as we shared the same passion” said Henri Huttunen. “The first call I made on my Jolla phone was to my girlfriend”, he revealed.
